The First New Worshipful Master After Lockdown

On Friday the 20th May Hayes Kent Lodge Installed their 79th Worshipful Master W.Bro Ezel Kaynak. Ezel who has been a constant supporter of Hayes Kent since he was Initiated and despite living in Cyprus has mad regular trips just to attend lodge meetings.
In front of 40 guests and members of the lodge Ezel was Installed into the chair in a truly excellent manner by our outgoing young Swedish Master W.Bro Daniel Ericsson who has occupied the chair for the last three years because of the pandemic.

Both Ezel and Daniel produced excellent ritual as for both of them English is their second language and their faultless performance would be envied by a lot of the masons present.

Ezel was warmly congratulated on becoming the Worshipful Master by the Representative of the Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro Neil Makes the Past Provincial Grand Almoner of West Kent and also by W.Bro Peter Brooker, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master of West Kent who was also present.

It proved to be a very happy meeting with gifts to the Worshipful Master and other members of the lodge by W. Bro Bob Tuthill on behalf of our sadly missed brother W.Bro Steve Richards who had requested in his will that these momentous should be given to these worthy brethren in open lodge.

Afterwards a fine festive board was enjoyed and later a special cake made by Nikki Tuthill in the shape of a freighter was presented to W.Bro Wiktor Molleskok on his 80th birthday. Wiktor a former ships captain was overwhelmed by this kind gesture by the lodge.

Ed Hunt and Daniel Ericsson

It was announced that at the Provincial Meeting on the 27th Daniel Ericsson will receive the office of Provincial Grand Steward and Ed Hunt will receive the honour of Provincial Assistant Grand Standard Bearer, both active ranks and very well deserved.
